Seventeen

you showed up at my door drenched
in my ancient black-
a bitter bolt of darkness rallying against the
shrieking San Fernando Valley sun.
you always arrive in such mad contrast!!
its only one
in the afternoon
and youve already taken the day
from me
so brazenly
taken the day so far away with you.
left me reeling, heavy breathing,
shook up and into the forgotten: seeking
to remember.
finding excuses for the excessive
abusing- always hunting, so heavily using
the cold to combat the Veil of December...
under which i was left kneeling, skin peeling, praying that i would never
remember.
But youve always shifted like a trail of Opiate smoke...

please vanish again into my unknown.
