these mid-city sunsets
are something else!
taking me back,
right back to La Brea
in the warm night air.
livin for the moment,
killing time without a care.
sharing thoughts, and goals, way back when we planned
way less.
our intoxicated dialogue was nothing short of genius,
well, more like plan-less madness!
praying only that the midnight metro
wouldnt leave us stranded.
Cheers to the silver Moon
and the neon Liquor Store signs
that never let us feel abandoned!
