i been wrong a time or two,
or two million and two too
many, many times about everything!
and i been wrong about the "intentions"
behind too many people's
actions,
or
lack there of-
im sure one of them
was quite likely you,
and you over there,
yeah,
you with or without
the hair
you too...
but lets take a closer look-
after all,
"its" all just what "it" is before and after our perception,
and i dont mean for you to see it my way, nor do i seek to question yours,
im sure you didnt mean
to lead anyone on
with all that coy deception;
silly worded,
slyly slightly flirty type of coy deception with which maybe i
have lead others on too,
baby i mean hey,
it happens,
even if it wasnt our
intention...
And you,
im sorry if you were
one of them too.
and no,
this is not a blanket
apology of some sort:
created ahead of some
controversial retort
my future political rivals will have stored
up their greedy
sleeves.
you see,
it just occurs to me
every so too damn often lately,
that life is
too
damn
short!
indeed,
its crazy
the way we live!
almost as if we havnt known
this forever,
known that sooner or later
you and i gotta go,
like, "go" go.
time and place?
well,
thats like askin the wind where
and when its gonna blow,
you know?!
frankly,
im startin to see that maybe there aint no wrong or right at the
very, very "end" end-
it'll just be another today
and we'd never know
that there'd never be no tomorrow, no more.
so,
whatever our
circumstances may have been,
i just want you to know
right now, right here,
before i wont type cause my fingers move too damn slow,
before
my hearts given its one
last heroic, but futile go,
before that final,
" if i dont see you later, maybe we'll meet up after the show".

i just wanted to be
the one to let you know.
